Inspired by Primus, actually. Came about while improvising, and built off of it.

There was a man named Roadkill
His name was an anagram
Made a mountain out of a molehill
And gave a prayer for Uncle Sam

Got run down one night
In the dark of the eve in Albuquerque
Trucker shone his big floodlights
Fella by the name of Dire Murphy

Yeah, he rolled up
In his brand new truck
Bumper came down
Tore him from leg to crown
Man there was so much blood

Said he thought he was an armadillo
Same as the one he saw in Amarillo
Dragged his body off two hundred yards
Snackin' down on a sandwich made of lard

Call him Roadkill
Armadillo Roadkill
Curled up in a ball
As his body made to fall
Strained like fresh cut dill

Roadkill headed down to Tawna's
Best bar in the land
Folks were-a screamin' cause the dude was still-a bleedin'
HE even scared off the band

Tawna looked that boy over
Took note his faceless mug
Decided it was better and down under she was wetter
And took him there up on the bar

Just then, did he roll up
In his now-used truck
The bumper came down
Tore em both from groin to crown
Man there was so much blood

Said he thought they was armadillos
Tore through their velvet pillows
Drug them both off with a chuckle and a scoff
And the sheriff he did flip off

Call them Roadkill
Armadillo Roadkill
Curled up in a ball
With Tawna in it all
Strained like fresh cut dill

Now these days, Tawn and 'kill
Well they had three kids, they were a thrill
Flew kites from the windowsill

On a mesa top, with max security
Armadillo joked comfortably
How funny it would be if the kids, all three
Had faces that matched Tawn and he

Just then, did he roll up
In his now-used truck
The bumper came down
Tore em all from toe to crown
Man there was so much blood

Said he thought they was armadillos
Plus some pint-sized minnows
Screaming down the canyon with the family companions
And drove into the dirt

Call them Roadkill
Armadillo Roadkill
Curled up in a ball
With three kids in it all
Strained like fresh cut dill
